The ad was a joke.
Then it wasn't.

An enjoi ad from the mid-2000s put Jose Rojo on a putting green in a full skate fit — caddie blurred in the background, a nonsense poll running across the top of the page. It was a bit. Skating and golf were supposed to be opposites, and the gag was that one of us had wandered onto the wrong lawn.

Two decades later that gag has a lease. Leisure Golf & Skate sits inside The Place market on Oasis Street in Indio: clubs on one wall, decks on the other, a rack of sourced vintage in between, and a shop box out back with the name painted on the coping.
