Side A is the goods.
Side B is the reason.
Hand-dubbed, hand-labeled. The Walkman rides along while you scroll — counter running, reels turning. Prices are runtimes until Jose sends the real list.

Crushable nylon, low crown, no rope. Dries on the cart path, packs flat in the tote, works on a bike, a board, a back nine.

Heavyweight raw denim, bar-tacked handles, boxed corners. It fades where you grab it and gets better the worse you treat it.

Heavy cotton, red print across the chest. Four words that explain the entire shop to anyone who walks in cold.

The three things that leave the house every time, bundled cheaper than the sum. Balls and film camera not included — abalone shell definitely not included.

Small runs and carried brands that never make it online. Like every good hidden track, you have to be in the room.

Straight off the camera roll — low sun, full basket, nobody watching. The most honest thing on the whole site.
Two balls down. The same patience that used to get spent on a ledge trick, spent on a ten-footer.
Same person, same week, different surface. That's the shop in nine seconds.
The late-career solo part — long lines, pinpoint trick selection, the style Thrasher summed up as simply looking proper on a skateboard. The shop plays it on loop because the shop exists because of it.
The comeback part. A car wreck broke his neck while this video was being filmed — he recovered and finished a full part anyway. Watch it knowing that.

Recorded over 25 years, two lawns
San Jose kid, raised by the local shop and the Tiltmode Army van — the youngest, most earnest one in a crew that turned goofing off into an art form. Am for enjoi. Then the car wreck that broke his neck mid-filming, the recovery nobody would have blamed him for stopping at, and a full part in Bag of Suck anyway. Pro in '09. Super Chavela in '16 — the style part.
Somewhere in there an enjoi ad put him on a putting green as a joke. The joke didn't land the way anyone planned: golf got him the way skating had — obsessive, early-morning, all the way. Now there's a shop in Indio with clubs on one wall and decks on the other, and pop-ups back home in San Jose.
Jose — this is written from your interviews and public record. The height-and-handicap trivia your homie's research turned up, I left off until you confirm it. Voice memo me the real version and Side B becomes your words. — M
