Scroll the reel — every look is a full homepage, live and clickable, built on the real story: San Jose, Tiltmode, enjoi, the desert. Every bio fact came from the public record and nothing ships without Jose's sign-off. New this round: proofs 04–06, and the mini-golf game grew into a proper front nine. Reply with a number.
— Jose, on golf. enjoi pro out of San Jose, Tiltmode Army to the core. These days a 5 handicap chasing scratch, with a shop full of golf apparel built on skate-influenced design — new & vintage, for the course or the park.
Tiltmode country.
Came up through NC Boardshop and fell in with Tiltmode Army — San Jose's fun-first crew. Started on ramps, became a street pro. When the call came, it came from Marc Johnson himself: welcome to enjoi.
The crew nickname was "Jose NoShow" — they joked he just appeared one day. He showed up where it counted.
The part, the promise, the pro board.
Midway through filming Bag of Suck, a car accident left him with a broken neck and a collapsed lung. He was out about a year. Then he came back and finished the part.
And the back tailslide at Stanford he'd bailed — on a Slap magazine cover, no less? Matt Eversole promised: land it and you're pro. He landed it, and found out on the spot, mid-scream.
Stairs traded for fairways.
Same obsession, new terrain: golf, "one of the most frustrating yet gratifying sports out there." A 5 handicap with a scratch goal, a 60° lob wedge in the bag, SilverRock as the home track — and fishing local streams when the light's gone.
In 2026 he opened LEISURE inside The Place, downtown Indio — a shop for golf apparel with skate-influenced design, modern and vintage, in a valley with a hundred-plus courses and concrete that stays warm all winter.

When he says golf is 4½ hours of pure zen, this is where he means.
Pete Dye's desert monster in La Quinta. Hosts The American Express every January — the tournament Arnold Palmer won at its 1960 debut; David Duval closed with a 59 here in '99.
The valley holds a hundred-plus courses across Palm Springs, La Quinta, Indian Wells and Palm Desert. You will not run out.
The region's flagship: three bowls, a full street course, lights for night sessions. Day pass runs $2–5.
30,000+ sq ft of concrete, including a feature inspired by the Nude Bowl.
DIY legend in Desert Hot Springs: a pool from an abandoned nudist resort, skated since the late '70s, buried by authorities, dug out again by skaters. Repeatedly.
Date shake non-negotiable. This valley grows ~95% of America's dates and throws it a festival every February — since 1947.
Downtown Indio's Historic Mural Project — a dozen walls of local history, blocks from the shop.
Yes, that Coachella — across town from the register.
Koston and Malto getting fit at TaylorMade's Kingdom. Koston creative-directing at Swag Golf. The paper trail goes way back.
The canon · 002Walker Golf Things, 2022 — more of a skate vibe you can play golf in and still take to a country club or your public course, in his words.
The canon · 003A hundred-plus courses, a flagship skatepark up the road, and a shop at The Place run by an ex-enjoi pro. This is the outpost.
"Where community and heritage grow" — The Place is a 15,000 sq ft marketplace of 100+ Southern California small businesses, most from the valley, open since 2025. Coffee next door, records down the aisle.
Hosted inside Black & Brown — full circle: a pop-up in the city that made him, inside a vintage shop that's been holding it down for 21 years.
Drops, pop-up dates, tee times, zine releases. Sign up now, show up whenever — we of all people get it.
Photocopied in the back of The Place, Indio. Run by Jose Rojo — ex-enjoi pro, Tiltmode Army — who traded stair counts for stroke counts. Top-shelf golf apparel, skate-rat design sensibilities. Everything curated, everything worn-tested on the course and the curb.
Same obsession, same repetition, same "one more try" until the streetlights come on. You grind ledges, we grind wedges. Our guy put two decades on boards — enjoi decks, a Thrasher part — before the desert called. This shop is the clubhouse for both: vintage finds, modern heat, zero dress code.
We're inside The Place — 100+ small businesses deep in Old Town Indio. Come dig the racks, talk swing weights or wheel durometers. If the light's on, we're in.

A shop by Jose Rojo — ex-enjoi pro, 5 handicap — carrying golf apparel with skate-influenced design. New and vintage, curated like a good floor plan: nothing extra, everything load-bearing.
"4 1/2 hours of pure zen" — a man who spent two decades making concrete look soft.
San Jose first: Tiltmode Army and the NC Boardshop years, then the call from Marc Johnson to ride for enjoi. A broken neck mid–Bag of Suck and the comeback part that followed. Pro, around '09, off the Stanford back tail. A Thrasher solo part in '16. Then the desert: fairways, a 60° lob wedge, SilverRock mornings — and a shop.
Structured five-panel. Course or park approved.
Range balls or one cruiser. Your call.
Modern & vintage picks, dug by hand.
Jose's favorite course. Where the zen hours happen.
Pete Dye's monster in La Quinta. The American Express plays through every January.
